Meet Your Hosts

Roland and Lily enjoy the outdoors, music, traveling, birding and meeting new people.

A San Antonio native, Roland is a self-employed locksmith with 30 years of experience. He has been a die-hard San Antonio Spurs fan since childhood. He also loves the outdoors, fishing, birding, hiking, and biking. When he is not fixing something in the Bed and Breakfast he is usually walking along the San Antonio River, watching his Spurs, or enjoying the outdoors.

Lily grew up in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, but has lived in San Antonio since 1994. She has been at the Brackenridge House since 1999, assisting Bennie and Sue in running the inn. In May 2009, she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of Texas in San Antonio.

Lily enjoyed inn-keeping so much after managing the Brackenridge House that she and Roland purchased it. Lily enjoys cooking, gardening, beading, handcrafting and scrapbooking. When she is not with guests, she probably is beading away on yet another beautifully handcrafted necklace (visit her Etsy store online). Or she may be found baking delicious cookies for you to enjoy.

Roland and Lily are both well versed in places to go and things to do in San Antonio and the Hill Country. They will be happy to give you guidance in planning your stay.
