Located only one-half mile south of
the Alamo in the King William Historic District, the Brackenridge House
is just two blocks from the river, six blocks from downtown and one block from the
downtown trolley stop. The trolley route goes past the Alamo, the RiverWalk, the
Convention Center, River Center Mall, HemisFair Park, the Institute of Texan Cultures, El
Mercado and the Spanish Governor's Palace. The San Antonio Mission Trail begins only one
block away. It is easy walking distance to many of San Antonio's finest restaurants,
coffee houses, antique stores and boutiques.
Directions: From Houston and points east on IH-10: Take IH-37 North. Exit
at Durango and turn left. When you arrive at S. Saint Mary's Street, turn left. Make a
right onto Madison.
From El Paso and points west on IH-10: Exit at Durango. Take to S. Saint Mary's Street. Make a right on
S. Saint Mary's and right onto Madison.
From San Antonio Airport: Take 281 South to IH-37 South. Exit at Durango and turn
right. Take Durango to S. Saint Mary's and turn left on S. Saint Mary's. Make a right onto
Madison.
From Austin and points north:
Take IH-35 South to IH-37 South. Exit at Durango and
turn right. Take Durango to S. Saint Mary's and turn left on S. Saint Mary's and right
onto Madison.
