While you are staying in this historic King William District bed
and breakfast, located on a peaceful tree lined residential
street, you will have all the advantages of being
near the RiverWalk, the trolley, the
Alamo, the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, El Mercado and the Alamodome
without the noise and congestion. Wonderful neighborhood
restaurants offer delicious meals without the RiverWalk crowds.
The rooms in this San Antonio Texas bed and breakfast are
furnished in antiques, but with comfortable beds and the modern
conveniences you would expect to find in a first-class hotel,
including cable TV, free wireless
Internet, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots, hair
dryers, irons and ironing boards, and robes.
Complimentary beverages and ice are in your refrigerator upon
arrival and you will probably want to try our chocolates and
sherry before retiring for the night.
You may want to sit on the inn's front veranda in a rocking
chair or porch swing with a good book and watch the horse drawn
trolley go by carrying tourists who wish they were staying the
same place as you.
Don't forget about the heated pool and
hot tub in the rear garden area. Either is the perfect place to soak
your tired muscles and aching feet after a busy day sightseeing.
The heated pool is open mid-March to October, weather
permitting, and the hot tub is available all year long.
The next morning you will wake up smelling coffee and fresh
pastry. As you go up the staircase you will be greeted by soft
music from the parlor where you can drink coffee, enjoy a
pre-breakfast snack, read the newspaper or converse with other
guests. If the weather allows you may want to step out on the
second floor veranda. In the formal dining room
we set the table with crystal and china
and serve a three-course, gourmet breakfast, family style
at 9 a.m. Breakfast begins with a fruit selection and hot bread,
proceeds to a main course and then finishes with dessert, all
accompanied by juice and your beverage of choice.
Are you a sleepyhead or an early riser? You may always have a
later breakfast or we can leave a Continental breakfast in your
room if you want to hit the tourist attractions early. With
prior notice, we can accommodate just about anything you can
think of.
As the first bed and breakfast in San
Antonio’s historic King William District, the
Brackenridge House Bed and Breakfast has been pampering guests
for 20 years. We are lucky enough to have been doing the
pampering for the last 14 years. Our goal is for you is to feel
