The Brackenridge House Bed and Breakfast, in the heart of the historic German King William District of San Antonio, is not one of the grand old mansions seen throughout the district, but rather was built around 1901 by John T. Brackenridge, a relative of George Brackenridge, who donated the land for Brackenridge Park. Its history still young in comparison to some of those old mansions, but its ambiance is that of a visit to life in San Antonio 100 years ago. Think about a house that belonged to your grandmother or favorite aunt whom you looked forward to visiting because you were treated so well.

The Brackenridge House Bed and Breakfast was tastefully restored by Carolyn Cole and opened its doors as a bed and breakfast in 1986. Bennie and Sue Blansett took over in 1995, maintaining a strong reputation for 16 years.

Present owners Roland and Lily Lopez bought it from Bennie and Sue Blansett in January 2011, and they are committed to continued with its current reputation as a premier San Antonio bed and breakfast.

Filled with antiques and featuring breezy verandas on both the first and second floors in the front and rear of the house and offering a hot tub year-round, it is the perfect place for rest, relaxation and recreation.
